BI-METAL COIN CLIP ERROR

This is a double clipped Bi-Metallic coin.

The inner pill of the new £1 Coin and the £2 coin can be clipped in the same fashion. Unfortunately many of the new £1 coin clips are faked.

The best way to check is to see if any of the outer ring has leaked into the void left by the clip.

In this example you will see that the outer nickel-brass ring has slightly filled in some of the clip void.
These fills now feature part of the design intended for the inner pill
